Onigiri is a Japanese dish made from white rice molded into triangular or cylindrical forms and often wrapped in nori sheets. Typically, an onigiri contains pickled ume, salted salmon, katsuobushi, kombu, tarako, or other salty or sour ingredients as natural preservatives.
