Onfru Light protector
thingiverse
I purchased Onforu 35 watt LED flood lights for various projects around my house and car repairs, featuring heavy metal cases and tempered glass fronts that I was concerned about breaking under impact, prompting me to design this protective cover. This shield easily slips over the light's front, with two tabs containing holes matching the mounting loop pivot holes. If using a split washer, you'll need to drill out the 7 mm hole slightly since it's designed for a 6 mm bolt. I print these covers on my 3D printer using eSun PETG at 240C, one perimeter, and one shell with 20% infill. Each cover requires approximately 16 meters of filament. I use a glass plate sprayed with hair spray as the printing surface; once the print is complete, I replace it with another glass plate and let the hot part cool down. The difference in thermal expansion between the glass and PETG causes the part to detach on its own after several hours of cooling.
