Wanted to make a fender with a rounded top because all fenders on the market have a flat one - and came out a fat ball. Looks nice to me, the double curvature was exactly what I wanted.

Printed in PLA because I wanted something asap.If printed in PLA one should ''slice off'' the lower hanging part of the back part- it's designed to catch some of the bigger debris but the pla will degrade probably

I designed it with PlastiDip covering in mind - and peeling off the ''seams and stiches''.
It held up so far but it's designed so that one could print just the part that broke off in case of a rollover( btw the original fender breaks quite easily)

Print instructions

Category: Hobby Summary

Wanted to make a fender with a rounded top because all fenders on the market have a flat one - and came out a fat ball. Regardless, 3 perimeters is the minimum. Infill as you desire, the rocks will make some noise no mather what.

It needs supports but all are underneath so aren't visible in the end. Depending on your slicer you should force the supports by adjusting the overhang angle( 10 degrees or 80 degrees) so that they're created only for the bottom sections of each part, not all the way up because it's not needed.

To glue it- I used slow acting glue and held it together with a soder gun on a few points on the backside. I mounted the front and back parts on the OW and used it as a ''mold'' for mounting together.
