OneWheel+XR FATBOI Fender
thingiverse
I wanted to create a fender with a rounded top because every fender on the market has a flat one, resulting in a big ball that looks ugly. I needed something that looked nice, so I designed it with a double curvature. I printed it in PLA quickly because I couldn't wait any longer. If you print it in PLA, you should "slice off" the lower hanging part of the back section, as it's designed to catch some debris and the PLA will likely degrade over time. I designed this fender with PlastiDip covering in mind, which makes it easy to remove the seams and stitches. So far, it has held up well, but it's intended to break off if a rollover occurs, so you can simply print another part. Later update: Ian Johnson, who is kind enough to share his work on Thingiverse, adapted and improved my design for TPU prints. I've added his files with the v2 extension. He printed it with 0 infill and 6 perimeters in TPU using a .65mm extrusion width, which left a hollow space in the top. To solve this issue, he created a splint to stick into the hollow and keep the top of the fender aligned during gluing.
