I printed up the original design and found that the bracket wouldn't fit snugly around the rail. I wanted something that would break off if I crashed, which was a concern as a beginner at floating. Initially, I started with Velcro, but added an 11-inch wire tie through three holes to boost stability. The addition of Velcro also seemed to dampen vibrations a little bit.
