Onewheel GT Motor Cable Holder

Onewheel GT Motor Cable Holder

thingiverse

This is a remixed motor cable holder for the Onewheel GT. The original holds it slightly too low and causes it to be at an angle - this one is 8mm higher (though it is not pretty - I just quickly did it in tinkercad and I'm not very good, but it works). If you break the locking ring on your motor cable connector, this can hold it in place with positive pressure. You should still replace the locking ring (FM sells a replacement, so you know it is a commonly broken piece). Also, installing kits like the half & half lowering kit can make it hard to keep the motor cable connected - this can help! To install, you use a longer screw through the rear left screw mount of the front footpad. I used a 1 1/2" screw, and the thread pattern is 10-32. You can add a nut on the other side to help secure it, if you'd like. A slot is provided for a zip tie to hold the cable in place. It is super solid once in place and tied up. Thanks to the original creator! You saved me a lot of heartache!
