- UPDATED VERSION www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-onewheel-modular-battery-display-flight-fin-spacer-base-with-fuse-xt90-vnr-port-xt30-accessory-port-173113 - DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS PROJECT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE. TAKE ON THIS PROJECT AT YOUR OWN RISK! - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE COMFORTABLE WITH THE PLANS LAID OUT --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is an edit to a previous design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4273137 It adds an ebike light to the spacer allowing you to get much more visibility at night. - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EJJZX8Q To bolt the light on use M5 allen socket cap bolts like below at least 40mm in length - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221872591770 A switch can be wired in to allow the light to be togged rather than always on when the board is powered. Suitable switch linked below. - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07BPQVQS2 For a wiring diagram please refer to the images for how mine is setup as an example. I would recommend diffusing the light a little since when used without it is extremely bright and can dazzle those ahead of you. A frosted acrylic circle glued to or replacing the existing clear acrylic helps to do this without loosing too much light. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Old Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you've modded your battery, extended it or it's just not matching what the app says then this print will allow you to add a battery capacity display to the Onewheel so you can more reliably measure your juice as you go. This model is designed to fit on the FullFlight system. https://www.flightfins.com/product/fullflight-pro/ The display used in this project can be found below. - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DVSTY59 Included is a blank version of the model so you can add compatibility for your own choice of display or if you just want a big spacer. Be aware you may need to mirror the model depending on which fin you attach this too as the bolt spacing differs for the top 2 bolts. The model is 40mm deep so the bolts will need to be replaced. I couldn't source the same size bolts that were used so I used 4x M5 70mm bolts with 4x M5 serrated flange nuts, then cut the bolts to size once fit. This also requires you to tap into the battery wiring to read the voltage. You can follow Sonny Wheel's VNR guide below to see how you can use Posi-Taps to achieve this. https://youtu.be/vfBlp6pa9hk?t=1m31s Please be aware shorting theses wires will cause damage to the Onewheel that will not be covered by warranty so do not attempt this if you're not comfortable working with electronics. This model comes with a channel that goes into the battery display housing so you can place the wires through. It should leave the leads between the flight shield and flight fender so you can run the cabling along those to the rails. I sleeved mine alongside another set of wires coming off the battery leads so I can add an external battery. The display itself can be programmed for various battery types and capacities. For my XR I set my mode to L-15 (15s for a 63v lithium ion config) however for a V1 or Plus you may need a different setting that matches your boards battery type and voltage.
