I redesigned a housing here and made some key changes. I removed the obstruction where the nozzle mounts because this made it extremely hard to clean up with a tool. I flipped the lever so that it exits out the side to make it infinitely easier to use and get your fingers away from the hot-end. I created a separate motor spacer as part of this redesign to keep motor heat away from the housing, provide moving air another place to exit and make it easy to use the original screws. I took an existing carriage design and broke it into two pieces which cut down on filament needed by 70% to print. I also narrowed section widths to lighten up the overall weight of the carriage part. I added a couple stops to accommodate a fan that is 20mm x 6mm in size and use the belt clamp as a bridge between these two new parts. Finally, I came up with a simple filament guide to mount at the top-center of the printer. Here are the individual parts: Modified Housing Filament Lever Two-Piece Carriage Belt Clamp Slip-on Main Fan Bracket Motor Spacer Print out housing, lever and carriage along with their mirrors in this same material as originals were made. Put these parts together with original screws, bearings, spring for the lever arm, then put a 3mm x 6mm flathead screw on top of this spring to secure it down properly in its hole. Get rid of excess material in extruder with sharp 5/8" drill bit that's exactly 5/8" in diameter and perfectly straight-edged. Drill out some more holes into housing to fit main fan bracket exactly right as it comes off of the printer and goes into original place on motor assembly unit. Some items you'll need along with print clean-up: Fan - 20mm x 6mm, this can be either five or twelve volts powered and made for either a specific power rating of voltage or a universal type that's good to use as you need. Don't over-tighten those little motor screws or the assembly unit might slip apart during print time which results in terrible printouts due mainly from not using your hands but your mind! Slip-on Belt Clamp Main Fan Bracket 2 Socket Head Screws (1/4") 2 Socket Head Screws and one lock nut - all made from stainless steel with a chrome finish that is shiny. Tape up the loose belt clamp pieces with lots of thin strips so the motor can easily drive through this during printing to give good results.
