I designed the propeller using the Onera HOR07 airfoil. All tests were conducted on the Drone Propeller Thrust Tester available online. You can review the results below. The part was printed at a slow speed with a 0.2mm extruder nozzle and 0.04 layer height. I used a Precision Knife to deburr and clean the print. The propeller was then sanded using 400 grit sandpaper for a smooth finish. Here are the thrust measurements for various voltage presets (also viewable in the images): - 1.5V yields 12.54 grams - 2V results in 17.31 grams - 2.5V produces 22 grams - 3V generates 40.17 grams The included files consist of all shots taken during testing, along with six text files containing airfoil coordinates used in the build, STL files, and SLDPRT files for modification. If you'd like to modify the propeller, make sure you have a few 8520 coreless motors on hand. You can use the SLDPRT extension files to make your own changes to the drone propeller design. Note: The airfoil was plotted using the matplotlib library for python programming.
