I simply attach my smartphone to a Gorilla Pod or another tripod using a straightforward mount. However, the hole for the mount is somewhat narrow, prompting me to carefully remove mine from my existing tripod and then heat it up before gently screwing it into the base to create the necessary threads – this design aspect became apparent as I experimented with different approaches.
