A Simple Spacer Designed to Safeguard Mdf of the Oneup or Twoup when Securing Bearings with Zip Ties is Needed, a Common Problem. I Have Included the SCAD File so You Can Experiment with Different Thicknesses and Create the Perfect Design for Your Needs. My Own OneUP Arrived Today and I Got to Test These Designs and I Am Pleased to Report that They Work Really Well. The Keys Fit the Slots Perfectly, and the Ziptie Slots Line Up Just as Planned. For Optimal Results, I Recommend Using a Base Plate of 4mm Thickness and a Slot Key of 1mm Thickness. However, You Can Also Experiment with a Thicker Slot Key of Up to 3mm or Even 4mm, Which Will Provide Even More Crush Protection. I Think 4mm is Just About Perfect for the Base Plate Thickness Because It Allows the Small Ziptie Blocks to Fit Perfectly Beside It, Making It Look Neater, and Providing Plenty of Strength. I Have Also Added Files for the Upper Extruder Bearing and the Gantry (z-travel) Bearings. Instructions My Own OneUP Finally Arrived and I Got to Test These Designs and I Am Pleased to Report that They Work Really Well. If You Don't Have a Way to Modify the SCAD File, I Recommend Using Either 1upziptieplate4mm.stl or 1upziptiethinkey.stl. I Used the Second One Because I Already Had Six of Them Printed Ahead of Time and It Works Just as Well. If You Can Modify the SCAD File, Then I Would Suggest Going with a 4mm Plate and a 3mm (or Maybe Even 4mm) Key for Maximum Protection. Note: There Is Not a Way to Use This on the Lower Extruder Assembly. However, I Have Added Files to Use for the Upper Extruder Bearing and the Gantry (z-axis) Bearings, as Well as the SCAD Files if You Want to Modify Thickness. See SCAD Source File for Instructions on How to Modify. Note: You Will at Least Need to Comment Out Three Lines Near the Beginning of the Original File for It to Render the First Time, But I Have Included Comments in the File So It's Easy to Understand What to Do.
