One Screw Tube / Wire Strap (Resizeable)
thingiverse
I needed a support strap for a tube and couldn't find one of the correct size, so I created this thing. After printing and using a couple, I realized that it would be fairly easy to make the dimensions adjustable. Resizing: - To change the tube size, change the radius of the object named "tubeHole." - To change the strap thickness, change the constant in the equation for the radius of "tubeStrap." (Click on the formula editor circle to the right of the value.) Notes: 1. The fillet radii are set to 1 mm and I didn't see how to make this variable. This means that you can't use a strap thinner than 1 mm (actually, 1.01 mm) without resetting the bottom flange fillet. 2. Also due to the fillets, the smallest tube diameter possible depends on the strap thickness. If a tube size causes fillet errors, reduce the strap thickness. 3. The spacing between the upper and lower mounting flange is set at 15% of the tube radius. You can change this by editing the formula for y placement for "topFlangeHorizontal." 4. I learned the hard way that you want to use pan head screws with this print. Because it's printed on its side, a screw with any sort of taper under the head will force the layers apart.
