One Print Sunglasses
thingiverse
I've designed these sunglasses for you to print out with just one job. The hinges are already built right in, and all you need to do is place an old pair of lenses into the frames as they're printing up. You can even add some extra support by inserting 1/16 inch steel rods through the holes I've left in each side piece, giving your new shades a super sturdy feel. To get more info on this project and others like it, be sure to check out my 3D printing blog at printeraction.wordpress.com - and don't forget to subscribe for daily vlogs like the one about these very glasses here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF3cwmVBWxE&feature=youtu.be Instructions: First off, make sure you've got your lenses ready to go because once the printer starts printing up those overhangs above the lens cavities is when you'll want to pop them in so they can help guide the rest of the print. And as for adding a little extra strength to your frames - all you have to do is slide some steel rods that are no larger than 3.5 inches through the holes in each side once it's tall enough, and that's when you'll get to add that steel core right to the center!
