One-Piece Rubber Band Gun

This innovative rubber band gun boasts a single-piece frame that enables the user to load multiple shots efficiently. The sight is designed as a separate entity, allowing it to be printed in a different color, and I plan to incorporate glow-in-the-dark properties into it for improved visibility when printing again. Inspired by the "Rubber Band Gun Semi-Auto," this design incorporates several key modifications: The frame is integrated as a single unit for added durability. The pin/dowel has been tapered to simplify insertion. A separate front sight piece is included for customization options. The trigger guard has been expanded to accommodate the trigger mechanism. The grip has been made taller for enhanced user comfort. Assembly instructions are straightforward, and printing all parts at 0.3mm layer height provides adequate results, even though it's designed to provide a secure grip. However, incorporating texturing into the print settings enhances the snap-in mechanism between the sight/frame. This results in better friction benefits, which is particularly beneficial for the pins. Printed with two shells and a 10% fill rate initially, I experimented with three shells and a 15% fill rate on the front sight to achieve improved stability. Assembling this gun involves simply attaching the trigger and sear components to the block in one particular manner, followed by pinning them into place. The wheel is then inserted, secured with another pin. The sight piece can be effortlessly pressed into its designated slot without requiring glue. To avoid binding or tight-fitting issues, users are encouraged to substitute the original pin for the revised Mk3 pin model, which has been engineered for a slightly looser fit in the center section to facilitate smoother movement. Please note that if this gun fails to fire after one trigger pull, simply re-pull it once, as there's likely to be an adequate spring action present. If the gun is overly stiff and challenging to operate, swapping the Mk3 pin model should provide sufficient relief from stiffness and enable a seamless user experience.
