One-Piece Mouse Trap
prusaprinters

This single piece mouse trap (well, except for the bucket and ramp) is a "Walk the Plank" style trap where, when the mouse gets near the end of the plank, a latch releases the plank on its springy support, causing the plank and mouse to flop forward into oblivion. The plank then automatically springs back onto the latched position ready for the next mouse. Just bait the end of the plank with a little dab of peanut butter.

You will also need a standard 5 gal. paint bucket and the handy folding ramp I've included. Note that the 2-piece ramp prints as a single piece and breaks apart. Use a short length of 1.75mm filament as a hinge pin to connect the two ramp halves.

Watch it go at: https://youtu.be/oPtT9TVsj7Q

Print Settings

Printer:

UDIO

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

15%

Filament:
Inland PLA

Notes:

Make sure you use PLA, as the spring is tuned for the springiness of that particular material.

Category: Outdoor & Garden
