I DID IT! What? You think it doesn't work? Ye of little faith. First, check out the Video. Old school pre-Gangsta. Quality speaks for itself. The First 1 piece Crossbow on Thingiverse, requiring no supports! But first, a word from our sponsor- If I were you I would want to be me too! [My name is John DeCesare and I am writing a book about Lift. It's called 'Keep the Laminar Flow'. In my book I will teach you why the accepted theory of lift is not accurate. I will mathematically demonstrate why my equation is more accurate, and can be summarized by: 'the amount of lift of a foil is equal to the mass which is diverted from its normal vector, over time.' Substantially in error is the current low/high pressure accepted theory because in this model there Can NOT be lift without an Angle of Attack. And, in water which is not compressible, lift can still be created. The Key to the book is how to be most effective in keeping the laminar flow so molecules are not disturbed, And don't even get me started about the Reynold's Coefficient!] Now back to your regular programming... I printed it from PETG on a heated bed primed with ABS juice (ABS dissolved in MEK). I printed at .2 mm and infill at 80% with success. I think that PETG is superior to ABS. It is stronger, has less shrinkage, and has a higher modulus of elasticity so it makes better living hinges. Again, the thing is adhesion to the print bed. Print Handles up. I don't know if Printed in ABS or PLA would work, but let me know. The model is about 140 mm to fit on my UP plus bed. No rafts required either. The arrows are plastic straws cut to about 55mm. Insert tips. Break off the tabs and string the bow (I used some TPU filament and melted a blob on the ends, but it's tricky) Pause... Wait...Wait...Wait Now Hands up to the break. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzwC6RLH8oY To Load, put your thumb on the back and squeeze the rear handle until it locks, then draw the string behind. It works because the rear is wedge shaped. To Shoot, squeeze the handles. Enjoy, John DeCesare CraftekDesign@aol.com
