A Mohur was equivalent to fifteen silver rupees and was issued by governments such as British India, Princely States, the Mughal Empire, Nepal, and Afghanistan. It was last minted in British India in 1918, but some princely states continued until after 1947. Additionally, denominations of 2/3 Mohur (10 Rupees), 1/3 Mohur (5 Rupees), double Mohur (30 Rupees) and Half Mohur coins (equal to 7 Rupees and 8 Anna) were also issued by the British authorities and some Princely States.
