One Handed Mini-Clapper for DSLR Shooters
thingiverse
Recently, I found out how amazing it is to shoot in RAW with my 5D Mark 2, thanks to the helpful folks at http://www.magiclantern.fm/. While working on building a personal post-workflow for RAW footage, I realized that I needed a one-handed solution for syncing sound with handheld shots taken using a Tascam DR-100 on a hotshoe ball mount. Instead of relying on an app for slate data, I decided to have some fun and create my own solution. The print settings for the upper and lower portions include exterior support, 10% infill, 0.3mm layer height, 65 mm/s feedrate/travel, an extruder temperature of 225°C, and a HBP temperature of 115°C. For the 5x10mm pin, the settings are 100% infill, 0.3mm layer height, 25mm/s feedrate/travel, an extruder temperature of 225°C, and a HBP temperature of 115°C. After printing, I drilled the pin holes on the "TOP" piece to fit the 5x10mm retention pin snugly, making it easy to install and remove without needing an M3 bolt every time. Enjoy this innovative design that saves time and effort in future projects!
