Fist-load weapons known as brass knuckles are used in hand-to-hand combat. These metal fittings encase the knuckles and are often made from metals, plastics, or carbon fibers, despite their name suggesting they're constructed of brass. Their purpose is to amplify a punch's force by directing it toward a smaller contact area, resulting in increased tissue disruption and an elevated risk of fracturing bones on impact. The extended palm grip also distributes the counter-force across the attacker's palm, reducing damage to their fingers.
