One Armed Bandit
thingiverse
For makers of Arduino projects, a 3D printed Las Vegas-style slot machine is now available. Three affordable steppermotors from Aliexpress, along with a driver PCB, are used to produce random outcomes. Inserting a coin activates the arm, while a buzzer and LED lights announce a jackpot. A magnet in the door is pushed away by a coil, allowing the door to open and all money present to fall out of the opening below. A proposed PCB design and an Arduino sample sketch are included, as well as OpenSCAD design files. Some details still need to be filled in. Designed for use with 5-cent Euro coins or similar denominations. Thanks go to BobD for creating a custom name plate tool found at thing:880672. The 3D Doctors team is also thanked for their contribution of other name plates, which can be accessed at http://3ddoctors.net/templates/textsigns/textsign.html. Print Settings: Printer: Craft Bot Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Standard Infill: Standard Notes: Colors and decoration are left up to the user's discretion.
