One Armed Bandit
myminifactory
For makers and Arduino enthusiasts, a fully functional Las Vegas-style slot machine has been designed and built. Three low-cost stepper motors from Aliexpress, along with their respective driver PCBs, are employed to create unpredictable outcomes. When a coin is inserted, the machine springs into action. A jackpot announcement is made by a buzzer and vibrant LED lights. A strategically placed magnet in the door is repelled by an electromagnetic coil, causing the door to swing open and allowing any collected winnings to spill out of the lower compartment. Included are PCB designs and an Arduino sample code, as well as OpenSCAD design files. However, some details remain to be filled in. This project is optimized for use with 5-cent Euro coins or similar denominations. The creators would like to extend their gratitude to BobD for providing a custom name plate designer tool (Thing:880672) and the 3D Doctors team for their assistance with other name plates, which can be accessed at http://3ddoctors.net/templates/textsigns/textsign.html
