One-Arm
thingiverse
This is OneArm Module which would be plugged into a modified version of eNable The Future Team's UnLimbited Arm and Phoenix Hand. The outcome would enhance the devices with simple bionic functionality at low cost. This project is a collaborative work between Hong Kong Maker Club and One Degree Production Services Ltd for the DBS Social Innovators 2016. We have used 3D printed prosthetic devices, such as Team UnLimbited Arm and Phoenix Hand, to help Hong Kong children who are born missing fingers or with an arm that has an elbow but no wrist. Unfortunately, the current devices require the children to use their wrist or elbow to body drive for actions, which can be challenging due to their short palm or residual forearm. We also received comments from parents requesting electronic versions of the 3D printed prosthetic devices. We designed the OneArm Module to meet their needs and make it an open source project contributing to eNable The Future Community. OneArm Module Components: * Arduino Micro Pro (5V, 16Mhz) * Customized Motor Shield with TB6612FNG and input pins for 2 sensors * 2 built-in variable resistors to adjust sensitivity * Customized SG-105 IR reflective sensor board * Motor with Gear Box * 7.2V LiPo Battery * 3D printed parts (designed by Mr. Dick Cho): * Mount boxes for controller, geared motor and battery * Customized Tensor box * Modified version of UnLimbited Arm * Modified version of Phoenix Hand Palm Videos: https://youtu.be/6_4WmTkMZP0 https://youtu.be/TryJMhWGu94 https://youtu.be/WX2V2gbQN6I Assembly Guide: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bzl3RqbE2zm3ZDJ6X3ZIRDlPa2M Design files, PCB and Programme Code: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1674507 Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/485331144967242/ This is an open source project with all materials available to the public.
