I've been startled more than once by my dishwasher, which operates with a stealthy silence and lacks any visible indicators on its front panel to signal when it's in operation. Countless times, I've swung open its door mid-cycle, only to be confronted with the eerie sight of water swirling around the dishes. Frustrated by this lack of visibility, I took matters into my own hands and created a straightforward "ON" sign that I can easily hang on the handle, giving me instant reassurance about the dishwasher's status.
