The original exhaust vent on the OMTech K40 rests directly on top of the bed and reduces the amount of space you have to place acrylic sheets. This is designed to maximize the work area by making exhaust vent flush with the back of the bed frame. I don't know how much the dimensions will vary from OMTech K40 to K40, but this vent sits perfectly flush against the back of the bed frame on my machine.
