Omnivise
thingiverse
Modeled in Fusion360 I saw this really cool vise being used in a youtube video, and had to have one, so I modeled it up in Fusion. This is the v1, and the v2 is already being made with height adjustments, just in case you need more elevation. I also wanna add silicone rings to protect the plastic from any battle scars. It's printed completely without supports, I used a M6 Bolt (30mm), and a 6mm coupler nut to make the clamp. Those are both pressed and glued in to stay secured in place. To add weight, I added a ton of metal BBs to the Inner Cylinder that screws together. I should note that the inner cylinder is really snug to screw together at first, I went back and forth until I was close to flush, added the BBs, and finally screwed the top closed for the final time. To eliminate any rattling, I added BBs through the top hole and pushed them down with a M3 bolt until I filled it completely, then finally screwing the Top Bolt into place. It works great for holding boards and wires steady, if you're tinning or soldering components.
