Omnidirectional wheels

Watch the video for assembly instructions. This is my design of a set of Omnidirectional wheels for CleanBot, a robot I'm working on to help me around the house. A wheel consists of several key components: Side plates are required in sets of four ("side_plate Set.stl"). Rollers are needed in quantities of fourteen ("roller x14 plus spacer.stl"). Spacers should be included in single units. Vinyl or rubber tubes, 9mm OD by 6mm ID by 7-9mm long, must be used in sets of fourteen.** Alternatively, TPE or TPU tubes can be printed from the file "Vinyl tube x 14.stl". Universal Aluminium Mounting Hubs for 3mm shafts (Pololu #1996) are required in single units. M3x25 bolts should be included in sets of four. Steel nails, 1.25mm OD by 16mm in length, must be used in quantities of fourteen.** **Note: If an elastomeric tube cannot be found or printed, and a Vinyl Tube is not printed using the same material as the Roller, it might be easier to print the entire unit from "Roller and Vinyl Tube x14 with spacer.stl" instead of using separate files for each component.
With this file you will be able to print Omnidirectional wheels with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Omnidirectional wheels.
