Omniadrop SWX1 Adapter

This is a quick fix to attach the OmniaDrop extruder to an Artillery Sidewinder X1, using standard ribbon cables and extruder PCB. I haven't done extensive testing yet and see this as a temporary solution until I get parts to replace the ribbon cables with proper wiring. Parts you will need: - 2 M5x30 screws and washers for top rollers - 1 M3x8 screw and washer for mount's lower fix point - 2 M4x20 screws and 4 washers for mounting OmniaDrop. Use two washers per screw to ensure screw doesn't press against aluminium carrier - 4 M4 nuts - 4 M3x8 screws, nuts and washers for PCB mounting - 2 M2x8 screws for fixating ribbon cable. Shorter screws will work too - a pair of self-adhesive googly eyes[*] Start by detaching extruder carrier and removing old extruder. Insert four M4 nuts into holes on back of mounting plate. If fit is tight, use screw to pull in nuts from front of adapter. Attach adapter to carrier with M5x30 and M3x8 screws, then attach OmniaDrop extruder with M4x20 screws. Ensure screws don't press against carrier by using enough washers (or buy slightly shorter screws, M4x18 should work). Extruder can be mounted in two positions. Lower one is for use with OmniaDrop hot end, while upper one should work with volcano hot end. In both cases nozzle tip should be in same location as it was with original Artillery extruder. Prepare cables by shortening and crimping to appropriate lengths. I also replaced four-pin DuPont socket for RGB LED on PCB with asymmetric JST-XH one to make connecting BLTouch foolproof. Connect all cables to PCB, then mount it on adapter using M3x8 screws and nuts. Be careful not to kink heater wires against stepper motor. I found easiest way to slide PCB from below at angle between motor and mounting plate and pivot socket into plate's slot. Finally, install carrier assembly and insert ribbon cable into PCB socket, then use little bar and M2x8 screws to clamp it down. Your printer should now be ready for action again.
