Omicron 3D printer (V2)
thingiverse
Human: ### [▶ V3 is out! ◀](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3010073) Build volume: approximately 20x20x14cm Speed: 50mm/s, but there is no real limit, as fast as the Nema and drivers want to go without burning. Precision: 0.175mm layer width seems to work well (it's precise enough to produce parts that can be used to build replacement parts for this printer). Price: $306.84 (BOM) + $30 (PSU) + $10 (zipties and whatnot) = $346.84 Original plans: * Simplicity: You can see where each piece needs to be just by using the pictures I provided. * Efficiency: Every part has a specific function, and the design is simple. * 20x20x20cm build volume * Print quality similar to a Lulzbot Mini * Price less than $500 * Glass heatbed * All parts designed by me * Good cooling fan system on the extruder The pictures with the XYZ calibration cubes show the first print without much calibration (left) to the somewhat calibrated prints (right). The cubes are perfectly flat and not warped on top, but the pictures look a bit weird for some reason. Any picture with a 3D printed object has been done using this printer (orange is PTFE and light blue is PLA+).
