The OmegA rocket model in medium configuration with six Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) is being developed by Northrop Grumman. Originally known as Orbital ATK, the company is behind this project. This rocket's first stage features a Castor 600 engine, which consists of two segments of the Space Shuttle SRB. Six GEM 63 SRBs also power the initial stage of OmegA. Moving on to the second stage, it uses a single segment of the Space Shuttle SRB known as the Castor 300 engine. Furthermore, the upper stage of OmegA is powered by two RL-10 engines. This particular configuration aims to transport approximately four thousand nine hundred kilograms into Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO). Northrop Grumman has proposed a first flight for the year 2021.
