I craved a safeguard for my trusty old camera, yet couldn't find any suitable option for this particular model. Ultimately, I took matters into my own hands, designing a custom one from scratch. This homemade protector is tailored specifically for the OMD E-m5 (a pioneering model in its class) alongside the HLD-6 Grip, minus the battery compartment. While it's still an early prototype, there are some notable shortcomings: Firstly, the protector must be detached to replace the battery, a process that's far from effortless at this stage. Secondly, the current design leaves a considerable portion of the camera exposed. Future iterations will undoubtedly address these issues and improve upon the existing design. Upcoming revisions will incorporate seamless compatibility with or without the HLD-6 Grip and eliminate the need to remove the protector during battery replacements.
