I built this specifically for my 1957 5.5 HP Johnson outboard, as the standard cooling headphones won't fit these older engines. To solve the issue, I created a system that lets you connect your garden hose directly to your motor for cooling purposes. I used the Gardena coupling as a reference model, but many other types may also work seamlessly. This setup will likely be compatible with numerous models from OMC between 5 and 25 HP up to 1970, making it a versatile solution for various outboard engines of that era.
