Olympus E-M10 MK1 Grip

Olympus E-M10 MK1 Grip

Wanted a custom grip for my E-M10, but metal ones on Ebay weren't doing it for me - they were too cold, heavy, and small, so I took matters into my own hands. This design is specifically for the MK1 Olympus E-M10, and I'm fairly certain it won't fit on any later versions of the camera. I printed the one in the pictures at .2mm layer height, which turned out pretty good - .1mm would have been smoother, but I didn't feel like waiting for it to finish printing! I didn't sand the unit before staining, but Hatchbox wood-filled PLA takes sanding surprisingly well. I tried sanding one and it looked nicer after, took stain better too, although it took most of my life to get through it. I stained the one in the pictures with MinWax PolyShades "Bombay Mahogany" and then threw another coat of "Pecan" over that because the Bombay color still smelled strong even after a week of sitting! Used a little tripod mount screw from Amazon to attach the grip to my camera. PS - I think the STL file might be upside down, just flip it until it lays flat on its base.
