Olympus BLM-1 (maybe BLM-5) battery cover with(out) contact holes
thingiverse
I need power on a tank project, and I remembered having some batteries from my old 5060 and E500 that were unfortunately dead long ago. So, I decided to use them instead. I have an original cover for the batteries but didn't want to break it. That's why I designed a new cover using the original as a model. The original has open sides, which always broke on me. My version has closed sides to prevent this from happening again. There are two versions - one is just a simple cover, and the other has some holes to allow passing wires so you can use the battery with an Arduino or any other projects. I own three BLM-1 batteries, so I can confirm that it fits perfectly with these batteries. I'm guessing it will also work for BLM-5 batteries, but I'm not sure since I don't have any of those. I've included the original Freecad files in case you want to improve the design yourself. Feel free to do so! Your comments are welcome as well!
