This "Thing" is a shared resource, and its origins are unclear, but it's being uploaded to preserve the Open Platform Camera Project. The relevant files have been extracted from their original archives and made available for download on Thingiverse. The camera body designs are included, along with an STP file that demonstrates how all the components fit together seamlessly. Users can either load the STP file into their preferred software or use a separate file provided by another creator to assemble the camera. This "thing" also includes example source code for both iOS and Android platforms, as well as a version of the communication protocol used by the camera. The protocol is not yet complete, but it's a step towards understanding how this outdated camera worked when it was first released in 2015. By making these files available, users can appreciate the value of this "dead" camera for its own sake or use its components to create new projects.
