Olsryd 9-Cylinder Radial Engine
grabcad
This project, modeled in Pro/E, is an attempt to recreate the Olsryd radial engine from Solidworks files uploaded by several GrabCAD users. The creator will provide IGES files for those unable to open Pro/E files and has animated the engine's internal mechanisms in Pro/Mechanism, although valve spring simulation is not possible. Running the analysis requires a fast computer. All CAD files were modeled from scratch with no imported geometry or files from other GrabCAD users. The designer made alterations to the original design, reducing valve inclusion angle from 48 to 42 degrees for better fit in combustion chambers and modifying cylinder heads and rocker boxes accordingly. Engine timing is set to TDC on compression stroke of cylinder No.1 with correctly meshed cam drive gears, anti-clockwise rotation, and cam, ignition drives rotating at 1/8 crankshaft speed in opposite directions. An IGS file was uploaded on February 4th for those who requested it.
With this file you will be able to print Olsryd 9-Cylinder Radial Engine with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Olsryd 9-Cylinder Radial Engine.
