The temple of the Molar, situated alongside the Guadalimar River, gives rise to a curious pot, crafted from coarse and dark ceramics, but resembling a metal container (it has rows of peaks that simulate rivets and a square plinth). It is dated back to the 7th century B.C., and demonstrates the connections at that time between Cástulo and the Tartessians and Phoenicians. Since prehistoric times, the connection with Eastern Mediterranean has been established through the Guadalimar River. It does not seem unusual for this pot to be found in a kitchen of the Molar sanctuary, which is actually presiding over the riverbank, the port. Google Arts & Culture
