Discover more about our story on our website. \n \n \nBackground We were one of ten Museum objects scanned in 3D as part of Hack the Collection, a public program held during the 2014 Sydney Design Festival. The festival brought together ten contemporary Sydney designers with ten objects from our collection to create something new and innovative. Designers spent two intense days in the Festival FabLab, creatively transforming the 3D object files into their own unique interpretations that wowed the enthusiastic crowd. At the end of the weekend, the designers' remixed objects were 3D printed on MakerBots and displayed alongside their original counterparts for everyone to see. Our collection is more than just a treasure trove - it's a source of inspiration waiting to be tapped. We invite you to download and remix our collection as you envision new possibilities, taking our objects in fresh directions. We'd love to hear about the innovative forms and uses you discover for our objects - share your work with us!
