K8200 Mod for Mounting E3D V6 Hotend on K8200. I've designed this extruder specifically for use with the K8200: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18379. However, I now offer an alternative extruder: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1360839. This new design reduces vibrations at the nozzle and hotend cooling noise. For optimal performance, pair it with a 120mm fan. Additionally, I've incorporated auto levelling on the Z-axis. The bracket features holes where you can install this holder: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:218954. Simply drill out these holes using a 3.2 mm drill and screw in M4 screws directly into the plastic. I use a similar holder for the Z endstop: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:262892. For the X and Y axes, I rely on a 3M belt coupled with these pulleys: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1317061. My setup includes a custom-built bed heater using four high-power resistors (2.2 ohms each). A relay ensures safe connections between the board and heating element. Power comes from a 12V ATX supply for the board, while the original Velleman power supply delivers 15V for bed heating. This arrangement works exceptionally well, allowing me to achieve temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius. With my setup, I can print HIPS directly onto a glass plate without tape or any risk of warping. A 5 mm brim at 80 degrees prevents even the slightest issue with warping. Moreover, I've constructed a housing for my printer based on this design: http://www.3d-proto.de/index.php?p=project_printercase#PrusaGehaeuse. To accommodate the K8200, I modified the dimensions slightly. The front and back panels measure 600x600mm, while the top and bottom panels are 600x452mm, with sides measuring 600x440mm. More detailed drawings will follow. For lighting, I employed two meters of LED stripes. The result is an impressively bright interior with minimal shadows. Videos showcasing my printer in action can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEE53Qg9AGE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLUBvlxJFgQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90JOFXcI2i0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW9QyTld3KQ. The cable chain featured in the last video was printed using ABS with a 0.25 mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.1 mm. This print adheres directly to a glass plate, showcasing the printer's impressive capabilities.
