Olight H17 Hinge repair

Olight Headlamp H17 Wave has very weak hinges which eventually will break at some point. So did mine. So I designed this part that fixes the hinge. Things to consider: Use PLA or ABS. I first printed with ABS but the ABS I used was too flexible. PETG will probably also be too flexible. Some PLA might be too brittle. I’m using a very good quality PLA from Extrudr called GreenTEC Pro. The screws are 2.5mm in diameter and 8mm long. As you can hopefully see from the picture the last 4mm of the screw is filed to be only 2mm in diameter. This is needed to fit into the hole of the Olight. If you rotate the screw using a drill while pressing the file against the screw then this is a relatively easy task. One alternative might be to use a 2mm diameter screw. I used support but you might be able to print this without it.
