Olfa 18mm knife hanger for Ivar
thingiverse
I love my 18mm Olfa knives - they're super sharp and super handy and I have a bunch of them scattered around my house and workshop. The problem is that I need them often enough to not want to put them away in a drawer or anything, but then they're kinda sitting out in the road of doing other things. Luckily, I have a 3D printer! So I designed some little hangers that clip onto the horizontal braces on the vertical supports of the IKEA Ivar system. The knife slides in from the side or the top, and sits nicely in place, and it's always convenient for me when I want to tinker with it. I've included two versions; one has the loop all the way closed, one has a cutout in the front to make it easier to slide the knife in from the front instead of dropping it in from the top. The open version is particularly handy if you happen to have a variant of the Olfa knife handle with the thick cushioning on the back, because the closed hook is too tight for that to fit.
