The Human Genome Project successfully mapped nearly all of the genetic code contained in human DNA by 2003. This project was an international research effort to sequence and map the human genome. It is considered one of the most important scientific discoveries of the 20th century, as it has greatly advanced the field of genetics. The project was a collaboration between scientists from around the world who worked together to complete this task.
