Oldham couplings consist of three aluminum pieces: two hubs fixed onto a central disk and torque transmission is facilitated by aligning the center disk's slots with the drive tenons on the hubs. These coupling components work efficiently when the center disk slides along the 90°-oriented tenons, transmitting torque in applications with parallel misalignment. Moreover, these couplings can also accommodate minor angular and axial misalignments.
