This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bc-pEWRrJsc&feature=youtu.be) showcases a coupler designed to correct small or large alignment errors between z treaded rods and motor shafts. The middle piece of the coupler adjusts itself to accommodate misalignments up to 5mm. A photo of this printed item will be available soon. The coupler disassembles if the print head touches the print bed, making it a "z-saver." Additionally, a design for upside motors has been created, which blocks this feature. To create the coupler, print all three files (5mm, 8mm, and middle part) together. Adjust the parts as needed using a sharp tool, and secure them with 2.5mm wood screws if necessary. Apply grease in between each component for smooth operation.
