This is a versatile oldham coupler designed to connect the X/Y axes of a mini mill to a stepper motor seamlessly. While it's specifically tailored for this application, its fundamental principles can be adapted to any situation where precise alignment between shafts is crucial. The innovative twist here lies in utilizing a two-part motor coupler to establish a sturdy threaded connection with the motor shaft. By embedding hot melt nuts within the square insert component, which is then press-fit into the coupler, it effectively prevents screws from being pulled out prematurely. This configuration was meticulously designed to accommodate approximately 12mm M3 screws.
