This adapter is specifically designed for older Icom, Kenwood, Yaesu radios. The original design had six pins, but this model has been simplified to just four. Interestingly, only two of these pins are needed to provide power to the radio. I've personally tested it with a TS570DG, IC706mk2G and FT897, and it works flawlessly.
