Old Town Cayuga 146 Kayak Replacement Cockpit Port Lid
thingiverse
My two Old Town Cayuga 146 kayaks' map compartments lacked lids, so I took matters into my own hands. Old Town's customer service left much to be desired when it came to tracking down replacement parts, prompting me to find a solution of my own. The custom-made lids fit remarkably snugly and could likely be sanded for an even better fit; they also feature a screw-in design. I used SainSmart TPU with a 0.1mm layer height and two walls to create the seals, but I'm not entirely satisfied with the results and may end up filling the seal recesses on the caps with silicone. Printing the seals with one wall thick might yield better outcomes than my initial attempt. I've included SolidWorks files for your convenience.
