Old Teddy Bear (3D Scanned)

Old Teddy Bear (3D Scanned)

I scanned the worn teddy bear as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend with great care. Before the original faded into scraps and thread, I wanted to preserve it so she could have a mini plastic version that might outlast the real one or become a cherished keepsake after passing the original on to our daughter. I used photogrammetry and Autodesk Recap to scan the teddy bear. The scan turned out exceptionally well, requiring only some cleanup where the feet contacted the table and some subtle exaggerating/sharpening on the folds and creases so they'd stand out more when printed. Even without any sentimental value attached, I think it's a fun little print that captures a sense of naturalness and realism. I enjoy prints that feel organic and don't look stiff or overly polished and digital, with a bit of personality shining through. 3D scanning is ideal for this type of project, and I'm excited to do more in the future.
