Old Style Windmill

Old Style Windmill

thingiverse

I designed this print inspired by old windmills that were used to grind wheat into flour. They're incredibly scenic and I was surprised when I couldn't find one on Thingiverse. This design was created using Autodesk Inventor. After several iterations, I discovered a good gear ratio by realizing two identical gears would mesh perfectly together. The pictures and video only show the top two layers with a different gear ratio. Here are some videos to check out: https://youtu.be/8h2m4z6TfQw https://youtu.be/cxgj7s1o3go As you can see, the gears don't mesh perfectly so there's some friction involved. However, once the top is removed, it spins quite quickly. The model I uploaded shouldn't have this problem.
