Old School Motel Key Fob

Old School Motel Key Fob

thingiverse

An authentic replica of a vintage motel key fob from the United States in the 1950s to 1970s era is on display here. These classic key fobs often featured the room number, the motel's logo and address, and a message indicating that postage would be prepaid if mailed via any US mailbox. 3D model files for one-sided and two-sided versions are available, along with the OpenSCAD code used to create them. The fob's dimensions can be customized through the parameterized code, allowing users to tailor their design (although it was not originally designed with customization in mind and lacks parameter validation). Print Settings: Printer: FlashForge Finder Infill: 25-100% Notes: For optimal results, print the one-sided version flat, while printing the two-sided version upright with supports. This ensures that any support marks on the ring or keys do not affect the printed piece. An infill of 100% is recommended to achieve maximum visibility if the filament is translucent.
