Old School Knife Switch

Old School Knife Switch

thingiverse

This is a rough-and-ready design, clearly non-functional at this point. I've included the contacts, blades, and pivots as reference points, but my own version will be crafted from 1/4-inch wood and turned on a wood lathe. The handle can accommodate either a #6-32 rod or bolt if desired. The base is oversized for a 3D printer, so I'll be laser cutting mine instead. To make the model easier to print, I split the plate into two parts. This modification now includes a provision for a strong magnet and adds a screw provision to the handle, allowing it to secure the switch in place when movement is desired.
